Food poisoning is acquired from eating food or drinking water contaminated with bacteria, viruses, parasites, or other toxins. Anyone can get it but for younger children as 5 years old, they have a higher possibility because their immune systems aren’t as strong enough at fighting off germs yet. Also, they don’t have much stomach acids that don’t just break down foods but also fight against germs.
On the Facebook page “Pinoy Viral Video,” one netizen shared the reason for the untimely demise of her niece. According to the netizen, she ate a candy which is popular among kids.

After eating the candy, she started to vomit and complaining of a headache. She was rushed to the hospital’s emergency but suddenly lost her consciousness she didn’t wake up since then. She was transferred to the ICU but eventually passed away, two hours after eating the candy.

At the end of the post, the netizen warned netizens to take care of their children and give extra attention especially on what they eat and put inside their mouths.

Most cases of food poisoning incidents don’t need medical attention. But when the incident is serious like dehydration, you can bring them to the hospital to get IV.
